Routine study and gathering of extended family members of the University of Medan Area Academic Community were held at the Taqwa Mosque Campus I by the Haji Agus Salim Education Foundation Medan Area University on February 29, 2020. Family gathering / Regular recitation was also attended by the Rector of Medan Area University, Deputy Rector of Field Academic, Vice Chancellor for Administration, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Vice Chancellor for Collaboration, Deans, Functionaries of Medan University, Employees, Students of Medan Area University and Prakerin Students.

With the lecturer, Ustadz Dr. Tappil Rambe. M.Si with the theme: “Character Education”, in his lecture namely:

1. Delivering about the value of character consisting of Democratic in QS: Al-Imran: 159, Caring for fellow humans in QS: Al-Maidah: 2 and Caring for the Environment in QS: Al-Baqarah: 11
2. Fasting Character Education contained therein, namely: Discipline, Honesty, Patience, Qana’ah, Empathy, and Mutual Sharing
3. Character Education in Zakat contained therein, namely: Orderly and Honest, Not Greedy and so forth
4. Character Education in the Hajj contained therein, namely: Discipline, Simple and self-introspection

After Tausyiah is finished, it is continued with lunch together and the midday prayer in the congregation then continued with the activities of the orphans

“It is not a people gathering in one of the houses of Allah’s houses (mosque) reading the Book of Allah and studying each other but will come down to them sakinah (calm), they will be shaded by mercy, they will be surrounded by angels and Allah will mention them on the side of beings who are glorified on His side ”(HR. Muslim no. 2699).
